The Feminist Funds express our solidarity with the resistance of Nicaragua's women's movement and feminists, who together with the organized civil society, have faced state repression in the streets of this Central American nation for over 90 days.
According to the Nicaraguan Association for Human Rights ANPDH, state repression has led to date MORE THAN 300 INDIVIDUALS ASSASSINATED. In the last IACHR report are counted, 1,337 wounded, and 507 individuals detained. Our allies from the Initicativa Mesoamericana de Defensoras IM-D report that there have been 389 attacks against 202 women human rights defenders.
